Here we control 46 acres of land inside the A120 town bypass by means of a Promotional Agreement and an Option.
The site, in association with a large area of adjoining land, has been removed from Green Belt (in part) and is a designated Area of Special Restraint in the adopted Local Plan.
The District Council is now beginning to prepare its Local Development Framework and the wider site is being trested as a commitment for the development of circa 3000 houses and other uses. We are continuing to promote the land for development as part of a consortium of developers including Bovis, Wimpey, Persimmon and Kier. A planning application will be made in 2011.
