Here we control 50 acres of land inside the A120 town bypass by means of a Promotional Agreement and an Option.
The site, in association with a large area of adjoining land, has been removed from Green Belt (in part) and is a designated Area of Special Restraint in the adopted Local Plan.
The emerging Regional Guidance for the East of England confirms that this area is likely to be required for mixed use development in the period to 2011-2021. The District Council is now beginning to prepare its Local Development Framework and we are hopeful of achieving the allocation of this site. We are continuing to promote the land for development as part of a consortium of developers including Bovis, Wimpey, Persimmon and Countryside.
