We control over 755 acres of land by means of a long term Promotional Agreement.
We promoted the site as a possible growth location through the recent East of England Regional Strategy process. This achieved a degree of success and we are continuing to promote the land via the Council’s Local Development Framework. The site currently features as a component of the Preferred Option being identified for 3,000 dwellings in a mixed use new settlement. We have also been shortlisted by central Government for ‘Ecotown’ status, as a site for around 5,500 dwellings. Decisions regarding both the LDF and the ‘Ecotown’ process are expected in early 2009.
